On the contrary, I think that this game will brighten up your day. This electronic puzzle, created by Hasbro, requires some major math skills, logic, patience and luck. The onject of the game is, simple, turn all the lights off. Pressing one of the lights will toggle it and set off four adjacent lights on or off. It has gone through a number of different changes but it still has the same addicting quality to it.

IamJeff, is set to capture that quality and place it inside our PSP, with his release of Lights Out v1.0. This would be his second release for the game, following v0.1 last July 16, 2006. Although Kyle M., in that article mentioned that, "Whatever the graphics are like, the puzzle playability are what attracts people to this game," I would still like to commend IamJeff for making a whole lot of changes in terms of how the game looks. I liked the fact that it's a throwback to look of the original game. If you're not familiar on the mechanics of the game, a nicely written How-to is included in the download.

One thing that I'd have to agree with Kyle M., if I may borrow his words, that the lure of this game is the puzzle playability. It's the kind of puzzle game that will haunt you in your dreams because you almost had one puzzle solved. Especially if you're not one to give up easily, you'll get caught up in this game. No telling when you're going to let it go. I had to take a couple of deep breaths everytime I get stuck in a level. But, like I said, the challenge will keep you coming back for more. Needless to say, there are 50 levels for you to conquer. Enough to keep you busy for a year maybe, give or take.

I was thinking, on suggestions I can give for this game. At first I thought, maybe adding music will be a good idea, but immediately decided against it. It would be a very difficult task to pick a music that is soothing but isn't distracting to someone who is deep in thought. But hey, if you have some musically inclined friends that could help, why not give it a go?
There are a lot of websites that offer mathematical solutions on how to solve this puzzle depending on the size of the grid. But, in my opinion, that will just spoil the fun of discovery and mar the feeling of accomplishment everytime you solve a puzzle.
If you want to be part of the madness and get an idea of just how much this game has taken a hold of me, I would encourage you to click on the download link below the article.
