  Meltdown

Thanks to an entry that was submitted to the NeoFlash Summer Coding competition, Meltdown would now be available for PSP owners everywhere.

Authored by Jeffrey Soldan (aka Drakonite), the game is expected to be reminiscent of the game Bejeweled. The goal of Meltdown is to drag rows and columns of reactor cores (yes, those circles on the screen) and group them by color in order to destroy them.

To play the game, you can move the cursor around the screen using either the d-pad or the analog stick. Once you have found a point that you wish to move rows or columns, just hold X and then while holding, move the d-pad or analog stick either vertically or horizontally, depending on the best way which you see fit to group cores of the same color in threes or more.

In the readme file included in the download, the author wishes to thank adresd, Bryan, John_K, MrMr[iCE], Optimax, Skitchen, TyRaNiD, and [vEX].

Super Tomato Numbers Game for FW 1.0 STG 001 I guess its true what they say, not to judge a book by its cover. Or in this game by themouton's case by its cuteness. I don't want to sound like gushing high school girl, but graphically this is a good looking game. Let's start with the menu screen. I was so taken by the cute tomato animation

Rubik's Cube by Quadrizo for PSP (slim with CW 3.7 Last July, a Homebrew contest for the best Rubik's Cube program was set by DevsGen. The prize for said contest is US$ 500. Here are the four entries from four French programmers. Please note that these programs do not come with a readme file so users are advised to use the apps with caution
POLLO POLLO!POLLO POLLO!
POLLO POLLO! Development group NewOlds has finally released POLLO POLLO!, its first full PlayStation Portable (PSP) homebrew video game. We should say that expectations were rather high on this one as it was highly publicized, not to mention its very alluring premise. To those not aware, it is actually a tribute to Japanese classic puzzle game Puyo Puyo

Block AttackBlock Attack
Block Attack Here's a rather interesting puzzler. It's Block Attack from Error (yeah, that's his name). Now, there's been a couple of homebrew block games in the past already, but this one is different. This game plays a bit like half-Tetris and half-Bejeweled. It's LUA-coded and pretty easy enough to install. Just extract the folder and put it in your LuaPlayer
The Magic NumberThe Magic Number
The Magic Number - Here's a fairly simple homebrew game from littlevish that reads your mind. The Magic Number is coded in LUA and basically tells you which number you are thinking of. David Blaine magic much, eh? It sounds pretty interesting enough for me as I'm all for those mind tricks and whatnot
Block AttackBlock Attack
Block Attack It's one thing for a programmer to take his Lua homebrew, go back to scratch, and re-translate it into C. It's quite another thing to take that new C code and bring it a step further with adding more features and capabilities. Enter slicer4ever and you've got yet another homebrew junkie worth looking up to
