We can almost say that this homebrew game is a classic.
PuzzleShuffle was first released in 2005 by luckymouse. Approximately one and a half years later, the homebrew developer decided to resurrect the said game and release version 0.2.
PuzzleShuffle is basically a slide puzzle game coded in lua. According to the dev, version 0.2 is a "total rewrite" of the first version and a number of improvements were added in the newest release. Players can now create their own puzzles, though the puzzle creation script is still buggy. The game comes with eleven puzzles and plays on luaplayer 0.16 mod4. The dev wasn't sure if PuzzleShuffle works with luaplayer 0.20 as he hasn't tried it yet.
Here are the other functions:
- Save / Load option
- Create Puzzle option
- Timer function // 'high-score' function
- Modify Number of Tiles per Puzzle
- Tile spacing
- Moving tile: transparent or transparent bordered
This release is still on beta so it may be a bit rough on the edges for you guys. The dev welcomes any bug reports or feedback regarding this release and any changes that would be cool on the next release.
Anyway, check out the download below. Before you proceed to installing the game though, remember to take a look at the readme file that lists the basic controls, how to make your own puzzles, and other useful info. Enjoy!
