Kuraudo-sama has recently updated his game, the Final Fantasy VII: Last Chapter, and mostly, it was the battle system that he tweaked with. Here's the complete change log for it.
Improvements:
* Doesn't suck(as much)
* No slow downs
* No choppy sound
* No choppy animation
* Added better hp status meters
* Enemy can attack
* A real town(poorly made)
* Really real RPG battles
In the meantime, there's still some more things he needs to deal with, such as the following:
* Need to remove the white box from some sprite
* Need to make battles random
* Need make different battles
* Need to make houses enter-able
* Need to add people to the town
* Need to add save support
* Magic, and Items will be dropped forever
* Need more SFX, and music

PSP FreeDink PSP FreeDink- this is a port of a windows game called Dink Smallwood to the PSP. It's an isometric RPG originally made in 1997 about a farmer defeating the forces of evil.
This port works better on the PSP-2000 models due to larger RAM, but still works on a phat.

"Crono. Crono! Wake up, Crono!" psp_jono has released his NeoFlash entry in this year's spring coding compo. And y'know what, for a Lua homebrew game (an RPG built on Lua - would you believe?!), it's quite impressive. You can really see the effort he's put into Legacy RPG.

Cameron Korb (or PsPhReaK from our forums) just released an update to his hack'n slash RPG homebrew game, called 2124.
All you have to do is extract the zip file to your memory stick. To play, just use the analog stick or D-pad to move around, and press X to attack. Be sure to wait for the sword icon to appear on the enemy, else you'd be killed in no time
