  PATS 2 (PSP Anti-Theft System)

The first version of PATS by GMDude66 , based on the original version by realn0whereman and youresam1, was featured last May 31, 2006 here in QJ. And now a much improved version of this Anti-Theft System is here for your PSP's slash Baby's security.

Here's how it works. When you double click the "setowner.reg" file, information will be added to the registry stating that, that particular computer is the TRUE owner of the PSP. When you plug the PSP into a computer "autorun.inf" will run "findowner.bat" and if it doesn't read the registry of the owner data, a browser window opens up and sends the users IP address to the TRUE owner's email, which was set in the "index.htm" file.

Installation Instructions:
1. Drag and drop all the file in this folder into your psp root
2. Open 'ms0:index.htm' in NotePad and edit the fake email address and replace with YOU email address.
3. Save 'index.htm'
4. Open up 'ms0:pspcommonpassword.txt'
5. Edit first line for YOUR password
(DO NOT use anything important (such as forums, sites, aim, etc. password)
6. Save 'password.txt' (Much easier than version 1, eh?)

NOTE: If you do not have 'ms0:pspcommonpassword.txt' file you will get a VB error!

What's New in this Version:

Added a 'password' box!
Ditched the registry!
Ditched the .bat file and am now using .vbe (MUCH more features)
If password is correct an explorer window will automatically open.

PSP Protection Password  Here's something for those concerned with keeping the contents of their PlayStation Portables private. Dark_Moon has released a new homebrew security application for the PSP. The application is called PSP Protection Password
Lockdown XMB StyleLockdown XMB Style
Lockdown XMB Style from Torch: Credits: Big time thanks to Dark_Alex for his VLF library, without which this would have been impossible. Also thanks for adding the Plugins Disable feature in 5.00M33-2 Features: Now uses the XMB Wave as the background. Warning: This can brick your PSP if improperly installed or due to bugs as it is a BETA
Lockdown Pack 2Lockdown Pack 2
Lockdown Pack 2  The various Lockdown applications were getting out of hand so from this update I've consolidated them into a single Pack. ========================= ================= Lockdown Pack 2 Changelog ========================= ================= Lockdown XMB Style updated to v4
LockdownLockdown
Lockdown Security features on the PlayStation Portable have always been one of the aspects that the gaming handheld was a bit more relaxed about. It's a good thing that homebrew developer Torch was able to come up with a new password protection app which uses a very clean cut yet efficient interface for the more discreet PSP users
VideopSpyVideopSpy
VideopSpy  We've previously seen a PRX module (HideFile PRX) which lets you hide your files via the XMB. Today though, we've got a full blown app that allows you to make some sensitive media files of your (videos and pictures) hidden. The interesting thing about VideopSpy is that when accessed via the XMB, it looks like a normal homebrew calculator application
Protect-MeProtect-Me
For those of us who want just a bit more security for our Sony PlayStation Portables, there's no better application to have than homebrew developer maxthebest's Protect-Me, now in its final revision version
PSP Protection PasswordPSP Protection Password
PSP Protection Password Dark_Moon has given a quick update to the PSP Protection Password homebrew application, now with increased security. For those who haven't encountered this application before, it allows you to limit access to your PSP with a password upon bootup - meaning, if the person holding your PSP doesn't know the password, they won't be able to use it
PSAFEPSAFE
PSAFE  In a response to a flurry of e-mails about PSAFE crashes, homebrew developer TRStealthX responded by releasing PSAFE v3.1. This update basically patches some bugs that the developer found in the application and also addresses two major security flaws present in the web client code - flaws which allowed anyone to change your IP or view your log
PSPassword ProtectPSPassword Protect
PSPassword Protect  PSPAfter releasing science-based homebrews PSPeriodic and its TIFF version, Propel came forward yet again today with a rather sensitive release. The Illinois-based developer just produced a password protection program for the PSP. This application accordingly, locks the PSP when booting from a coldboot
