  Portable Program Guide

The first release was only a few days old, but homebrew developers Seb and Cladil managed to release an update to their PSP homebrew, Portable Program Guide, or PPG. There are several new additions, tweaks and fixes to this handy Program Guide for the PSP, which makes use of xmltv data.

So what's new in this release? Check out the log of new features and fixed bugs in the changelog below (crudely translated by our weblator from its original French):

//New v0.2:

Choice of connection config file
Tri chains by drag'n'drop
Improving reflect icons (blur)
New graphics
All icons channels TNT / Freebox
Default path screenshots -> PICTURES
Config file
Support from other channels (ie. support other repository + other files prg)
Updated only if necessary
Europe2-> Virgin17
Display names chain cleaner (not capitalized)
Rebooting after an upgrade optional
Camera Movement (limited) on the APAD
Menu "views" on the LTRIGGER
New View "Evening"

BUGS corrected v0.2:

Infinite Loop mode when the switch is OFF Wifi
Loop forever in the event of failure at the connection
Way paved for the program file at the time of update
Problem if the default path is not that of the EBOOT (?)
Lack some accented characters
Problem viewing hours of the ends of the day
Time Zone hard to GMT +1//

The Portable Program Guide is built from scratch with the French users in mind, however since this makes use of xmltv TV listing files (which includes TV programming for North America, Australia, Britain, among other countries) it can actually support programming from whatever countries xmltv supports. The homebrew developer will make sure that future releases of this 'brew will be friendlier to non-French users, however.
