TEXTTUTOR is a text entry/typing program that was created for Palm OS based handhelds to practice typing (with a wireless keyboard) and text entry. It also calculates typing speed so that users may decide which text entry method works best for them or compare text entry speeds on different handhelds.
TEXTTUTOR was created by: Nevin Morrison
ClearHack- After months of being driven to distraction by that annoying dotted underlining in the MemoPad, months of squinting at colons and periods to see if they're not really semi-colons or commas, I threw down the gauntlet and wrote ClearHack. ClearHack takes the underlining out of all multi-line fields
SecretAgent- Who's looking over your shoulder while you enter your password? The "Off & Lock" feature of the Palm is quite a good one, but perhaps you're like me -- I stopped using it because when entering the password, it shows plainly on-screen.
I'd always be glancing around to see if the Palm screen was visible to anybody else nearby
Speedy is the award winning benchmark utility for PalmOS based devices (on January 19th 2004, Speedy was listed number 22 in TrackerDog's Top 100 Popular Palm Softwares).
Speedy performs three resource taking routines to measure the real CPU speed of your device and benchmark it with other PalmOS based devices
Benchmark measures your Palm Powered handheld's speed and bus bandwidth utilization, and shows how your device measures up relative to other models -- and it does so quite accurately.
Benchmark works on all Palm OS connected organizers. It was developed entirely on-board a Palm handheld using the Quartus Forth compiler
TreoWink allows you to keep your Treo ON for a specified time, even when there is no user input. This is useful while playing games or viewing maps, for example.
Operation
Invoking TreoWink from the Preferences Panel will display the TreoWink Preferences form. The options are straightforward and self-explanatory
MemHog tries to fill up your Pilot's database memory until only the amount of free memory that you specify is left.
It isn't always quite exact, but serves its purpose, which is to allow programmers to test their applications under low-memory conditions.
The top of the screen displays:
Total memory
This small (5k) program is for those, whose POWER BUTTON is broken, it EMULATES (not just turns on & off the Palm) the broken power button on one of the four others
