  WiiWhiteboard

At this point, a lot of you guys have at least heard of Johnny Chung Lee, specifically his work on the Head Tracking application originally intended to be in EA's Boom Blox. The feature never made it to the game's final build, although it hinted at the sort of ideas Lee had brewing up, which brings us to today's topic. One other Wiimote-based project he's been working on is a Low-Cost Multi-point Interactive Whiteboard.

Basically, this project uses an infrared light source and two Wiimotes to create an interactive whiteboard using the remotes' IR sensors. The setup was originally made for Windows (Other devs are working on its Linux and Mac ports), and can handle up to four IR markers/pens.

Now, if you happen to own a Wii, we've got some good news. Developer Bg had developed a Wii port of Lee's project, appropriately named WiiWhiteBoard. Much like the original developer's build, Bg's version will also need two Wiimotes and an IR pointer to function properly.

There's no readme included with the file bundle, so you'll want to visit Bg's release post at the WiiBrew site.
