Remember the new Custom Theme Converter Sony released earlier in line with PSP firmware 3.80? Thanks to the efforts of homebrew developer Red_Squirrel, the said application has received a port translated into Italian
Lua Booter
Jomann wanted to have a custom screen pop up on his PSP whenever he turned it on, but he couldn't find any program to do it for him. Then he realized he could probably write this in Lua himself. The result is Lua Booter, an application that'll post a picture of you choice during your PSP's startup process.
It's simple, but very effective
New Recovery
There's a new recovery homebrew application that is called, well, New Recovery. It was creaded by coder kgsws and QJ Forum member myschoo was good enough to share it with everyone else. One good thing about this is that if you prefer the original recovery menu, you don't actually need to flash this as you can just put in as an eboot

PNG for PTF
Homebrew developer akadewboy has just released PNG for PTF v1.0. This application allows users to convert 24-bit PNG files into 256 color 8-bit PNGs. This should prove to be useful for those who use Sony's Custom Theme Converter since the application has strict rules on what PNG files can be used to create PTF themes
PSP Background Creator
ultimax from our forums has created a nifty wallpaper creator for the PSP...Well, for Windows actually. It creates the wallpaper using a bunch of settings which you can specify. And it's actually very useful.
And it doesn't look bad by any means. You can specify the gradient pattern by right-clicking on the Gradient button
PSP Background Creator (Re-written)
ultimax has released a re-written version of his program PSP Background Creator released last May. With this program, you can create wallpapers for your PSP via Windows. The wallpaper you've created will be saved as a bitmage image which you'll be able to copy using Flashmod or any other similar app to your PSP
PSP BG Split/Merge
After customizing your handheld's XMB, maybe you would like to do the same with the background image. It seems that homebrew coder xmOD was thinking along the same line and that's why he came up with a handy app called PSP BG Split/Merge v1.0.
Just like the name implies, the application is for splitting and merging the 01-12
