Backlight On will turn on the backlight of your m505 every time you turn your Palm on.
Backlight On differs from the "official" Palm app in several ways:
-There is never any user interface. It just works, and doesn't need to be configured.
- It is much smaller (under 1Kb).
- It turns on the backlight everytime the m505 is turned on
Torch-by-stone-age - Torch is the worlds smallest useful Palm app at 494 bytes! makes your screen as bright as possible through judicious choice of screen colouring (black)
Off by RedGrep adds two icons to the Menu Command Bar, Off icon and Backlight toggle icon.
You do not need to press the power button in order to switch the Palm off or to toggle the backlight.
Usefull for various cases that hide the power Button.
Off is a Preffs panel! It will not be visible from an application launcher
BrightTools - BrightTools is a program that controls the brightness of the screen. To achieve this it has three different tools that controls the LCD brightness value: scheduled brightness change, popup dialog box and external power connection.
The Scheduled brightness tool changes the brightness of the screen according to a profile of hourly brightness values
TinyMirror - Unlike other mirrors, TinyMirror uses the whole screen (there is no annoying menu bar to ruin your reflection).
TinyMirror can also display an all black or an all white screen.
You can toggle between the two by pressing the scroll buttons.
TinyMirror can also conveniently transform into a flashlight if the backlight is turned on
BrightnessDAs - with a stroke of your finger (depends on the DA launcher you're using and the options you choose to invoke my DAs) your could quickly choose between minimum brightness (great for reading at night), low (~20%, for battery-conscious users ;), medium (50%, should be enough for most situations) or maximum (100%. The range above 50% up to 100% is superfluous)
StreakHack - Does your Palm 'streak'? Some Palm IIIx and Vx machines show 'streaking', shadow lines extending from vertical and horizontal lines on the display. This is especially noticeable in the Calendar view in the DateBook app.
StreakHack can help reduce the streaking. After activating StreakHack in HackMaster, adjust the contrast to your liking
