PSP homebrew developer Art has hooked us up with new updates about his homebrew creation, X-Flash (now on version 17b). Indeed, Art just made the day of most custom firmware aficionados who'll be having a ball over this. Well, what can we say? Time flies so fast nowadays.
So let's start with the basics
X-Flash for PSP
Art started a journey by developing a firmware modification program he called X-Flash for PSP that quickly applies
newly discovered firmware hacks and automate customising process of new 1.50 PSP units. Today, that journey ends with the final version of his homebrew opus X-Flash for PSP
X-Flash Kerrang Build 4
Homebrew developer, Art, informed us through our forums that he has released the X-Flash Kerrang Build 4. If you have no idea what in the world X-Flash is, then let us give you a background of the the app. This app, when used with caution and enough knowledge, could alter and create a custom firmware for your PSP
X-Flash Kerrang Build 5
If you don't have enough PSP know-how, back off. Now! You could end up having a bricked PSP if you're not careful. This application by Art could alter as well as create a custom firmware for your PSP. The original Dark_AleX Custom Firmware modification does not work under MPH firmware launcher
X-Flash source code
X-Flash is a homebrew application that allows you to tweak your firmware. For example, the popular program lets you install custom fonts and pick alternate sound effects. Our last coverage was in mid-January on X-Flash v18k.
(By the way, X-Flash writes to your PSP's on-board flash memory
Place .p3t file in PSP/THEME/ folder and select theme from XMB->Settings->Themes
