Me and a friend recently spent loads of time getting basilisk II to work properly on the PSP and we have. We have put together a freeware tool we found on the internet for editing DSK files, Also we have made a DSK file with a game of checkers on it and a game of chess also a JPEG viewer.

Homebrew developer Pspflashsystem has devised a new plugin which allows you to keep tabs on your PlayStation Portable's remaining battery charge.
Entitled BATalert.prx, this plugin warns you when your PSP's battery is starting to run low by the frequent blinking shown on your LED power indicator

We all know how much of a bummer it is whenever our handhelds die on us. So this really is very useful
Homebrew shells such as iR Shell have an integrated battery monitor which tells you what percentage your battery is at, which can be very useful as you can see exactly how much power your PSP has before it will run out of juice
