With the PSP-Hacks coding competition well under way, we pick up news of one of the contest's contenders, created by hombrew coder J@ricanese - you may remember him from the NPHAPP application. This new entry is a homebrew game titled Simon v0.1, and as its name implies, it's a memory game styled after the game "Simon says." Its objective is simple: Simon will light up one of four colors on your game display, and you have to punch in the same colored sequence to advance to the next round. This current version carries seven rounds of increasing difficulty. As for the controls:
Up = Green
Right = Red
Down = Yellow
Left = Blue
Start = Advance to the next round
J@ricanese further notes that these features may be added by the next update:
Background music - will be a few songs included, or ability to randomly play from Music folder
Theme Support: I am already making different themes for the game including a Mets (New York Baseball Team) theme
Access to music options and theme options available in a new options menu.
The file is available for download below - just remember to have your copy of PSP Brew ready. The author would also very much like to hear feedback from the guys by way of this game's original release thread (see source link below). With that said, we hope you enjoy the download, and enjoy this game.
