  Lua Player 0.20 1.0 Binary

The amazing Lua Player has been updated to v0.19. Probably the most well known PSP homebrew application Lua Player is a Lua script player for the PSP, made by Moonlight, Shine, and Oobles. LUA player makes development of games and applications much more easier for non-coders and coders alike. You can even test your applications on the PC using Lua Player for Windows, before trying them on your PSP.

This updated version adds many new features that make it much more stable than the last release. Most of the changes are developer end and not user end, so don't expect to see many changes with your eyes. Here's the version 0.20 changelog:

- Updated for gcc 4.1 and Lua 5.1. Some things you need to change for 5.1:
- Changed table iteration code:
- It's pure Lua 5.1: no binary operators and double as number type (e.g. now you can use one number for storing IP addresses)
- Sound.load doesn't crash any more on invalid filenames
- Fixed problems with daylight saving time
- Font:getTextSize fixed.
- blit operation from screen to image works now,
- TTF font plotting to images now sets the alpha value to opaque
- New function Image.loadFromMemory for loading images from memory
- PNG and JPEG is supported and autodetected
- Image-to-image blitting now uses alpha full blending [Callum Bethune]
- System.rename(oldName, newName) for renaming files and directories

Don't worry developers - the full changelog included in the download will explain these changes in more detail and give examples on how this changes your code.

Lua Player comes in 2 seperate versions, 1.0 and 1.5 binaries. 2.0+ users can try the 1.0 binary version, however if you have problems it is reccommended for you to use an earlier version such as Lua Player 0.16. The source code is also available for coders to download, although it is not needed to write or Play Lua applications.

PSPXTI Hi all, For those who haven't seen previous versions, XTiger is a unix emulator (under X Window) of a TI-92 calculator (Texas instruments). Non-Module LuaPlayerNon-Module LuaPlayer
Non-Module LuaPlayer  Youresam from our forums have been trying to get someone to compile LuaPlayer v0.16. Finding no one, he did all the work himself. But in the process, youresam realized it would be a whole lot better to compile v0.20 instead. Since v0.18 included module loading, 2.00+ users are no longer able to use LuaPlayer

LuaPlayerHM (source code) Hey all, I haven't been able to do much psp programing since starting university, so i have decided to release my source for LPHMv3. Also included is the source code for the lua core that LPHMv3 uses. This core is optimised alot for the psp. I hope this helps out other developers. Please support LuaPlayer Euphoria, and PGE
AntimassAntimass
Antimass Zilt from our forums has released version 0.1, what I would call a teaser, for his upcoming PSP homebrew Antimass 3d world client. Zilt has had to diable some of this 3D client's features in order to release this version so early, but plans on adding (or enabling) all of the features for the next release
PSPLink 0.9fPSPLink 0.9f
PSPLink 0.9f  TyRaNiD over at ps2dev.org has released a new version of PSPLINK. It's basically a tool which can help homebrew developers immensely. Its purpose it to provide a shell on your PC via SIO, WIFI or USB. If you're wondering what exactly this means, then it most probably isn't for you. Plus, it can access your PSP's internals in realtime
Game and Watch FantasiesGame and Watch Fantasies
Game and Watch Fantasies There are homebrew games for the Sony PlayStation Portable, and then there are homebrew games for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Game & Watch Fantasies by homebrew developer Mia is clearly the latter, with a very quirky main character and a very quirky puzzle-platforming mechanic to boot
