Metroid Escape Mission - Homebrew dev chus (AKA samuschus) has released the initial version of Metroid Escape Mission, a cool homebrew platformer set in the Metroid universe in which you take control of Samus as she tries to get back on her spacecraft while fighting off enemies you encounter along the way. As described by M14_b2 in our forums:
Metroid Escape Mission, developed by chus (also recognzied as samuschus), is a game in which we have to guide Samus Aran through different places, with the purpose of arriving to her spacecraft. This homebrew could remind you the fantastic Metroid Fusion (GBA).
While we are running to our spacecraft, we must destroy some monsters previously, but taking into account that we only have 30 seconds. Also Samus can kill monsters with 3 kinds of arms.
At the moment there's only a level, but in the future you'll be able to play some other levels that the coder is preparing.
Controls:
* Menu:
o D-Pad: Move options.
o X: Accept/Enter.
o O: Return.
* Juego:
o D-Pad: Move character.
o Start: Pause.
o X: Jump.
o Square: Shoot.
o Triangle: Missile Shooting.
o O: Supermissile shooting.

PSP homebrew developer ahrimanes has released Polygunwars v0.1, a new take on Bizarre Creations' popular Xbox shooter Geometry Wars. Polygunwars is very reminiscent of 71M's PSP homebrew game Trigonometry Wars, since both are based on the same game.
What sets it apart are better overall effects and brighter colors

The code was a little sloppy in the first beta whch was released on our forums, and so Grimfate126 has taken it upon himself to rewrite most of the game's code, removing mistakes, making things much clearer and making the game run more smoothly

Merc Roid Merc Roid - In this update I mainly took care of bug fixes. The missile count is now good. The monsters move now (but gravity doesn't apply to them for some weird reason). I added some pictures and sounds for when in the PSP's vsh menu. There were some more behind the scenes updates to the LTE engine. Mainly the collision response animator was updated to the Irrlicht-1
