  Decryptertest 1.5 EBOOT

 Dark_Alex just released a new decrypter, which enables users to play the Ridge Racer demo in 2.71 DevHook but aren't running 2.71SE-A. Now, we know you want to get your hands on it, so we have it here, thanks to Viper_Bravo. Don't know how to oinstall it? Here are the instructions found in the readme:

* With some pbp utility, such as pbp unpacker, extract the files from the Ridge Racer 2 demo pbp. Put the extracted file DATA.PSP in the root of memory stick.
* Place the 1.5 EBOOT in the game folder.
* Run the decrypter test.
* The decrypter test will output a file called "DATA_OUT.PSP" in the root of memory stick. Using this file as the DATA.PSP, rebuild the pbp. Change the text in the SFO "2.81" with some hexadecimal editor to something <= 2.71. To those who know their stuff, this will probably be a piece of cake.

Dark_Alex warns that unfortunately, this doesn't run on other demos such as World Tour Soccer and Ape Escape Racer demo for 2.81 (the latter tested by jas0nuk). But we're pretty sure this bright guys will work something out. In the meantime, here's the decrypter. Just click on the link below to download it. As a bonus, Viper_Bravo also threw in a Hex Editor as a treat, so it's definitely something to get.

Gunpey-R Puzzling gameplay  Q Entertainment really does seem to have a thing for psychedelic, trance-y stuff. After all, we do need more of that fun stuff going around nowadays
