Return to Tyrian .NDS format Developer El Hobito has released a new shoot 'em up homebrew game for the DS today called Return to Tyrian. The game features a nice user interface, this isn't one of those 5-minute projects, the developer has actually spent some time on this; and excellent use of the Dual screens. The top screen displays your shield level and health bar, showing you just how far away from destruction you are. The bottom screen is where the action is at (for a change), with the aim of the game being to shoot down as many alien craft as you can.
This game is still a little bit of a WIP and currently does not have an ending. At the moment insstead of an ending after a certain amount of time the enemies just stop coming which can be a pain if you've almost got the high score, but I'm sure that El Hobito will update it again soon. His best score is 2660 at the moment - see if you can beat it!
