When Archaemic released the final build for No Bull Moose last week, the dev also promised that a new version of PSPComic be completed soon. That said, we're happy to report that Archaemic has made good on that promise, and that this comic reader's version 1.0 is now ready for download.

This new build carries several changes aand improvements, such as options for interface languages other than English. This release also features options for theme swapping, in case you're opting for a GUI with a more personal touch. Here's the changelog:

* Features:
o Themes! You can now select different themes consisting of a background, font and text colors!
o Languages! Now one can use the interface in a language other than English!
o Directories can now be opened as if they were comic books. Note that previous/next comic book does not support opening directories
o The Slim's extra memory is now used, so much larger images may be opened
o USB mode. One can now change around the files on the memory stick by pressing select in the menu. Changes are not automatically registered, and a menu must be reloaded by using the reload menu option
* Bugfix:
o Fixed outstanding bug and memory leak if a filename is too long
o 8-bit non-color-keyed surfaces no longer display black as transparent
o Fixed an off-by-one error leading to a buffer overflow when resampling images
o One no longer has to restart the program after attempting to open a comic book in a non-existent directory
o Fixed minor bug with battery meter when battery is not inserted
o Further rotozoom optimization
o And many more minor changes...
o /! Caution! Comic books with bookmarks in them must be on the memory stick
o while upgrading from a previous version of PSPComic for the bookmarks to be retained.

Aside from the basic PSPComic v1.0 app, this Theme and Language (T&L) pack will contain Chinese and Polish languages, and the Unicode and CJK themes you'll need for these two.

Full details on installation and usage instructions for PSPComic v1.0 are available in the file bundle's readme - make sure to read that before anything else. Those interested in leaving their feedback regarding this release will want to visit Archaemic's thread over at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forums.
