It's arguably the game's coolest mode, especially now that Sony has announced that it supports network functionality. But even without it, it's still insanely fun. You choose from a handful of maps, including the post-apocalyptic wastelands seen in the demo. In addition, you also fight in and around docks, warehouses and sandy beaches. Just like in the single-player portion, the multiplayer stages offer a great mix of traps and places to take cover. Plus, you'll find plenty of areas to stage mini-ambushes and whatnot.
