Zelda the fourth element - While there have been a couple of good looking homebrew games adapted from the Legend of Zelda series, a new homebrew project was being developed by Cloos and nicovideo which can possibly rival the ones currently out right now.
Don't take our word for it, though. You can view a sneak peek at some of the initial screens done so far on the video found in the original article. Judging from the visuals, it definitely shares its looks with many of the classic top down Zelda games that we've been seeing throughout the years.
Unfortunately, the developers explained that they will be discontinuing this Lua-based project in the meantime. They were hoping someone would pick up the development of this game and eventually finish it. Anyone was free to ask for the source code on the condition that they be sourced as the original developers of the game.

Biohazard Biohazard
Eskema from our forums has just released a new homebrew game, Biohazard. It's a 2D adventure game based on the Biohazard/Resident Evil series. And although the game is still in beta, there shouldn't be any major things to worry about. I've tried the game out and it's fun.
There is one small niggle though. The control response is a little slow
