With this year's NeoFlash Spring Compo 2008 coding competition accepting new entries, it's no surprise that a lot of budding homebrew developers are excited in showing off their "l33t" programming skills on the PlayStation Portable platform.
Developer cdesseno has entered the latest version of Avoid it in the competition, stepping up the game's version to 0.2. The new version cleans up a lot of the code in the previous build and adds a lot of new features which considerably scales the gameplay up a notch.
Anyway, here's a list of the new changes included in Avoid It v0.2:
v0.2
* NeoFlash Edition
* Many parts were rewritten
* Fixed pause bug
* Added something to recover life
* Added shield
* Added music
* Added PIC
* There are some levels that need to be unlocked if you want to play them
* Added more enemies
* Each level is customized
* New friendly menu
Avoid It v0.2 was coded in C, with its graphics made with The Gimp. The game was tested using custom firmware 3.90 M33 on both the PSP Phat and the PSP Slim.
In any case, don't forget to take a look at the Readme.txt file included in the game for more information how to properly install the game onto your handheld. If you enjoyed the previous version of the game, please don't hesitate to try out the latest version of Avoid It which you can download through the link we've provided below.
