Zion and MexicanSnake are proud to announce the v1.0 beta release of their new Lua game for the PSP, Lua Wormz! Before all those Lua bashers start talking, this game has such a great quality, it could easily be mistaken for a game coded in C so try it before you flame. The aim of the game is to kill the worm on the other side of the fence/wall using a grenade attack. Although this is a beta release, the actual gameplay features have all been completed, with a simple attack and computer AI already included. Here are the release notes:
This release has : AI, Sprite animation, Music and Attacking included. We feel this is a solid first release, and we will be releasing an
improved version within the next few weeks.
Controls:
Shoot/recharge = Cross/X
Start = Ingame Menu
circle= pause
Left = Move the Worm left
Right = Move the Worm Right
Up = Jump
Currently the basics have been done, which means we can expect more and more features as development contniues and these two great coders add more features to the game, including improved Attacks, new weapons, scrolling backrounds, more levels, and more! Again, this release comes packaged in eboots for both firmwares 1.0 and 1.5, so Lua Player is not required.
