Pong has always been a timeless classic in terms of gaming. Even though it doesn't have the depth or the next-gen graphical qualities of today's games, it's still an addictive title to while away the hours with, whether you're playing against the CPU or a friend. Now, however, PSP homebrew developer sony_psp_player has written a version of the game for the Sony PlayStation Portable, but with a neat twist: it automatically detects black pixels, making them surfaces for the ball to bounce off of.
And before you ask, yes, you can customize the background, simply by replacing the background file bundled in the downloadable archive. This means that if you're crafty with map creation, you can make each game more challenging than the last. Just be sure to use the color black. If you want a normal game of Pong, however, all you have to do is either leave the background as it is, or make sure the picture you replace it with doesn't have any black pixels.
There's no readme file in the archive itself, so here's an excerpt from the release thread:
There is an english and a german EBOOT.PBP in the 7zip. The game runs on the 3xx Kernel and on the Slim PSP.
