SonicDS A few days ago, a Sonic homebrew game was made by Bonic - aaw, isn't that cute? Sonic and Bonic... - and at that time, it was on v0.1 Alpha. Today, he's got it up to SonicDS v1.2 Beta.
Yes, there's still no sound, but nonetheless, this version plays much beta better than the alpha. There's a very big improvement, and here's his list of changes just to prove that:
* Plays larger levels
* Improved the engine
* Has AI, but I didn't add it to the Sample files(If you want AI, build it with your level)
* You can jump from under platforms!
* Can play more music!
* Has death engine(Not in sample)
* Sonic has a faster jump
* Hold Y to speed up a little.
* Has rings!(Not in sample)
* Sonic The Hedgehog
That's a mouthful, huh? The whole jumping thing can still be a bit iffy at times, and there's been reports of Sonic hovering over platforms. Yes, there are a few glitches, but on the bright side, at the rate that Bonic is updating his game, there might be a new version very soon.
