Showtime 4.5.7: Remote Play and More Small Fixes - Following Showtime's latest stable build, Andreas Oman is back for more. This beta includes remote play and more!
This media player's developer just released a stable version of his work, but that doesn't mean he's ready to quit improving upon it. In this latest test release, we see lots of small fixes including support for subtitles in .txt format as well as BIG5 character encoding. Probably the biggest overall upgrade is the ability to remote play your content from Showtime to a PSP by editing the PRAM.SFO file. Check out the full release notes below!
Changelog 4.5.7 (Testing Build)
Add support for BIG5 character encoding
Add support for .txt subtitles
Upgrade PARAM.SFO: Enable PSP Remote support and DTS audio
Consistent naming of logfile on disk
SRT: Skip over any initial control characters
keyring: Make it possible to ask without password
Make it possible to prioritize items in blobcache
Right now only used to make sure the TMDB configuration (which is small) get stored without risking to be expired. If it is expired none of the other images can be loaded
