It's already been established that Zion is one of our more active homebrew developers around. He's already given us a taste of what he could do with his earlier projects (with Legend of Hyrule: Linken Quest one of the most popular). So when he told us in forum threads that he's about to launch a surprise, we were all eyes for updates about this "new project." Surprised us he did when he unveiled his new baby - BeatQuest v 1.0.
BeatQuest is an adaptation of the highly addictive Dance Dance Revolution. A game ported to our favorite handheld a number of times before making the average PSP user wondering - what's Zion's game has that its predecessors don't have? The main objective of the game is still applicable to this port. You still aim to hit the buttons flashing above the screen. The added challenge is that we can't quite keep our eyes on the bubbly chracter below, making us miss not a few tabs. Well, we guess it served its purpose. Other notable features are:
The dancehalls of QJ still can't get enough of zion's new bouncing sprite. It's that cute. Still, can't help but wish the game features the option to call the hands of PSP-Maniac's Bug v1.0. We're still wondering how a squashed robot looks like.
