The contest entries for the 2008 NEO Spring Contest are still coming in, and this time, PSP homebrew developer danzel has released the CTorrentPSP application- basically a torrent client - for Sony's handheld console.
danzel developed CTorrentPSP under M33 3.90-2, using PSPLINK . It's run under 3.XX Kernel. 1.5 isn't supported, but the developer says that if you want to, you can make it work on 1.5 if you use the code.
According to danzel, this is how to use the application:
* Put .torrent file in torrents/ folder.
* Run CTorrentPSP.
* Choose the torrent to download.
* Choose the Access point to connect to.
* Wait for file to download.
* Delete the resources/splash.png to get rid of the splash screen.
* Quit.
danzel recommends that you read the README.PSP file that comes with the package for more details, including a list of controls and a list of bugs. As with all homebrew applications for your Sony PSP, kindly exercise caution when downloading and installing the software.
