A quick fix update for neur0n's Custom Firmware 6.39 ME (Minimum Edition) is out today, that resolves the bug freeze issue from the previous release. Just like the previous release, this one only works for PSP-1000 and PSP-2000.

To install the custom firmware, first, you need to install CFW or HEN in your PSP:
copy UPDATE folder at ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
