cquake release 1 Homebrew developer Eric Hobbs has a game port for DS owners to try, and from the looks of things, DS owners are in for some fun shooting action. The game is called cquake, and it's a port of id Software's Quake 1.
According to the developer, "The main goal of this project is to drastically reduce the memory requiremments needed to play quake on the DS." The dev also notes in the cquake readme that the game's memory uses 70k less memory now.
In any event, we suggest you give this port a try. Just remember to check the included readme for additional information on how to run the game properly.
