CyanogenMod PSP Shell Demo: An Android-Like PSP Interface
Looking for a new shell to spice up your PSP? Check out this awesome interface demo by joel16!
It's been a while since we've seen any new PSP shell releases, but this one is particularly interesting. It's inspired by the CyanogenMod custom ROM often used by rooted Android users. Like many GUIs of this kind, CyanogenMod can be handy because it includes many small amenities not found in the stock XMB experience. Essentially this is a whole new visual method for using your PSP.
Purpose:
This software is to be used a replacement for the PSP's XMB. However it's still in the works, and not stable enough for daily use. It is inspired by Android's famous custom rom, CyanogenMod. Take note, this does NOT allow you to run any android software on a PSP and it never will. The psp doesn't have the hardware capabilities to do that. The purpose of this software is to allow you to do the anything a PSP can do, with a different UI and additional features like a built in file manager and text editor. It's purpose is similar to that of iR Shell. There are currently two versions; The Lua Version, and the C version. The Lua version is more stable at the moment, and can be downloaded Directly from my github, and installed onto your PSP without needing to compile anything. (Since it's lua). However I won't be continuing the Lua Version, I preffer developing it on C. I have not added in any auto-boot functions as yet since the software is not yet stable. The C version still has quite a lot to do, and I could use some help with developers if interested.
