Homebrew developer Xart has released a new build for OpenChoice, an open source shell for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Yeah, we know you've come across a lot of shells before, but this one really shows promise if only for the fact that it aims to be extremely customizable "by any end user with no programming skills required."
Anyway, OpenChoice is at the Alpha 2 stage so far. Xart, however, has released a couple of new builds for Alpha 2. The first is build 2A062, a patched Eboot for the previously released Alpha 2 that fixed a memory overflow bug. The latest build, 2A063, includes a new .ini file for mouse speed controls.
Both of these builds require OpenChoice Alpha 2. There are no bundled readme files in the downloads, so we recommend that you check out Xart's release thread on the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum if you have any questions or bug reports.

MyPspShell 1.0 MyPspShell 1.0
Yes there are other shells aside from the iRShell. It was still in its infant stage back then, but Cpasjuste's MyPSPShell already showed a whole lot of promise. One of its notable features is its ability to stream all homebrew using TyRaNiD's PSPLINK with ease. Whether, it will dethrone the iRShell as the "it" shell, only time can tell
