For fans of Mediumgauge's work, here's a heads up as he has just released a small update to his homebrew application, PSP Filer. Now at v2.2, he notes the following changes in his log which is dated December 25:
* UMD ripping speed is improved.
* Entry speed to memory stick is improved.
For those who are unfamiliar with this app, it basically allows one to view files from your memory stick as well as play .wav and mp3 files. It also allows you to rename files as well as move them around. At the moment, this app can be installed on FW 1.0 and 1.5, so if you're unsure about how this works, just check out some of our older articles about PSP Filer and if you know someone who can read Japanese, then feel free to check out the readme file which Mediumgauge has included.
