Here's an interesting homebrew creation from alex705 released on QJ.NET PSP Development forum: IrDA Games v0.1. It is actually a collection of games which are played using the PSP's Ir-port. Given that, running the three different games included in the package is somewhat reminiscent of Wii's motion-sensitive control scheme.
Anyway, alex705 reminded everyone that this is just the initial release of the program and as such, the games are still only for demo. The developer added though that he will keep on improving IrDA Games and more developments and games will be included in the next release. Version 0.1 has the following:
* IrDA Wars: This game is a multiplayer-game. You have to trie to shoot an IR-Signal at the IR-Port of the opponent's psp and care that your IR-Port wont receive any signals from your opponent. If it happens, you'll loose some life points. If you haven't any lifepoints anymore, you'll loose the game.
* IrDA Soccer: This game is also a multiplayer-game. In this game is one the rusher, the other the keeper. The rusher can shoot with his PSP or with any IR-Remote. The keeper tries to catch IR-Signal the rusher had "shoot". If the keeper has received and "catched" the "IR-Ball", he'll get a point.
* Remotefun: This is a singleplayer-game. You play it with a IR-Remote(anyone will do). You have to try to react in time, when a psp is blitted on the screen. If you press a button on the remote, and the psp is blitted yet, you'll get a point. Tip: Try to position your psp so that the remote "looks" at your PSP IR-Port.
Included in the download below are the Readme files as well as a Manual where you can learn about the controls for IrDA Games v0.1 and other details.
