  The ASCII's world

DS homebrew developer Yannoulu isback with version 1.3.1 of his LUA-coded mini-game for the DS, The ASCII's World.

"The goal is to avoid the ASCII characters that tumble from one corner to another of the screen while using the stylus to move from a very special way, you'll see," said the developer in his note. As for the changelog for this version, he said that he "Fixed various minor bugs and reset the player's position between two parties."

We've also included the changes he made in the previous version, v1.3, for your review:

  • Change the color of the enemies
  • Prevents the player out of the screen (Thanks Papymouge!)
  • Fixed an error aurtohgraffe
  • Improved movement system (now take into account the speed of slip of the pen)
  • Speed limited to enemies 3+3 pixels in x and 2+3y
  • Changing the logo and buttons
  • Add the name of the author
  • Fixed bug in the canvas overlay when changing the character between two parties

Open Gladiator Source Code Description "This is a Gauntlet-style game that was originally commercial back in the mid-nintys and has since been GPLed, and ported to SDL. Since it was a DOS game originally, it was pretty straight forward to make it perform and fit in the PSP. Thanks to the great coders from openglad for a solid base to build on

Console Grab v1.0 Over at the DCEmu forums, Anonymous D has released the homebrew game Console Grab v1.0. In Console Grab, you're tasked with the control of a giant hand, which you use to grab consoles and handhelds for points. As is standard with games of this sort, you want to keep on picking up these consoles and handhelds to beat your high score

PSP Revolution Nintendo Style I won't deny it...I'm a Nintendo girl. That's why when Monkeboy1916 wrote to inform us here at QJ that he's come up with a Nintendo Style mod for PSP Revolution, I knew I just had to check it out. The problem is, I suck at any Revolution game (call it two left feet and butterfingers!)..
WardiveWardive
Wardive Here's probably one of the most ingenious DS homebrew games ever. Wardive v1.1 reads from WiFi signals that are near you and translates that into gameplay objects! Check out the description from the author: wardive captures the wlans in the immediate area like a wardrive-tool and creates a game

Invader ZimInvader Zim
Invader Zim- Bigbobrocks has resurrected the Team Bigbobrocks' Invader Zim homebrew game for everyone to enjoy. It was originally created two years ago, but it was officially called dead as of early last year. A waste of a good homebrew game, in my opinion. That's why am personally excited about this re-release
