If you're looking for a homebrew game that's a bit more three-dimensional than the rest, then you're in luck as Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer gambiting has just unleashed his entry for this year's NeoCoding Competition: BlowUp!, a tank simulator for the PSP that sports full 3D graphics and fully-textured environments. Awesome.
How does one play the game, you ask? Simple - you command the tank around the level in an effort to collect all the coins, while avoiding obstacles and enemies. Collect enough coins, and you'll be warped to a randomized level where the enemies are smarter and the coins much more numerous. So you'll have to be smart about it - but who cares? You're in a tank!
One thing we particularly like about BlowUp! is how the author has pretty much given this homebrew game an identity of its own, with 3D obstacles and 2D enemies and coins.
