Toy ports are becoming popular with homebrew developers nowadays. Weeks ago, we featured a homebrew game called Simon for PSP, which is basically a Simon toy port. Now, homebrew developer, karmon, comes up with the Connect 4 for PSP.
In case you have no idea what Connect Four is, Connect Four (also known as Plot Four) is a 2-player board game where players take turns in dropping those discs into a vertical grid with the objective of getting four of one's own discs in a line, and was first published by Milton Bradley in 1974.
karmon's Connect 4 for PSP, has a single and multiplayer option. If you wanna slug it out with a friend or something, go ahead and play multiplayer, but if you wanna try to dominate the AI, then the single play is for you. Playing the game made us realize that the AI is actually pretty good, it took me a number of tries before I conquered it. So if you're looking on killing some time, this game might be for you.
The game has definitely lots of room for improvement in the graphics department, we wonder if the good developer is planning on releasing another version or if he's willing to work with other devs to perfect the game. Anyway, go ahead and try the game, and also be sure that you share your thoughts with us through your comments. Have fun!
