With a jingle and jangle, jiggle has released an update to his Devhook51 Autoboot for 2.71 SE.
For those who have never encountered this app before, what is does basically is that is loads devhookbeta automatically and the idea is to (and I quote) "make 2.71se act like 1.5 with a custom firmware did at startup."
Still don't get it? Okay then let's try this (from jiggle himself):
Features:
* Do nothing when timer hits 0 Devhook51 loads(setting devhook to autorun is better)
* Pressing X loads like normal
* Pressing O loads irshell (Will load latest irshell from irshell150 or irshell271 folder)
* Pressing Left trigger sets counter to 10
Got it? Good. Oh and jiggle also says that this works with 2.71SE B & C but it hasn't been tested on anything else. It also works (and again I quote) "with devhook and irshell in the standard folders (the ones they make themselfs when unzipped)." So far there are no reported bugs but jiggle says that if you come across one, please drop him a line on our forums so he can fix it with his next release. Here's the list of stuff that's changed for v0.2:
Changelog:
* Added irshell loading
* Added grey banner (woo)
* Changed counter to count down
* fixed flicker (caused by screen clearing)
To install:
Just extract to your memory card & turn on with 2.71se* config menu
enable autorun program at ms0:/PSP/Game/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP in configuration
Oh shoot, I almost forgot, the download below includes both the "plain" version and the "new exciting" one, for what reasons, I can only fathom, but we're gonna give both of them to you anyway. Just so you can choose. It's all about freedom of choice, you see. (whaaat?*scratches head*) And make sure you check out the all-important readme, alrighty?
