PSP homebrew developer jojodu0010 has released v0.2 of their homebrew game Duck-hunt. So basically, you use the analog stick (or the d-pad, whichever you prefer) to aim and X to shoot - you get 35 points if you shoot the faster yellow bird, 20 points if you hit the red duck, 10 points for annihilating the blue duck, and -10 points if you shoot the black ducks. The game is so simple, you wouldn't even notice that the entire game is in French. Here's the changelog for Duck-hunt v0.2:
* graphic improvements
* creating cheat codes now possible
* added audio and analog stick controls
* improved RAM management
* you now have the option to aim using the analog stick or the d-pad
* addition of game summary at the end of the game
Duck-hunt v0.2 comes in two versions - one for PSPs using firmware 1.50 and one for those who are using 3.xx OE.

What this is, is a test game for my 2D game engine, which is written to be able to quickly develop and deploy a game for windows, linux, and the psp, only having to write simple "entity" code then add an entity of that type to a level
Powder Release 103 for DS Powder Release 103 for DS It's yet another update to Powder, the homebrew roguelike game by Jeff Lait. One of the biggest changes this time around is the switch from the fixed 8x8 tile size to 10x10, which allows for a native res of 320X240. Jeff notes that the change may have brought about some errors such as menu or stylus input not working properly

Duke3DS Duke3DS Another entrant into the NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition, GPF's Duke3Ds is a port of Duke Nukem 3D port from GP2X. Amazing how the ports come so much sooner than Duke Nukem Forever, which is still taking forever and a day to make.
There's some technical stuff you need to consider closely though, so listen up
CDogsDS CDogsDS Homebrew developer Sektor, who has ported a number of classic games for the DS before, has done it again with C-Dogs for the Nintendo DS. His previous releases include Flashback, Hexen and Digger and CdogsDS v0.3 marks the latest of his retro ports.
According to Sektor, this version can only run at FPS and can't run sound yet
Kurok Kurok - MDave's dropped by the forums earlier and he's brought along with him v0.4 of his homebrew game Kurok. It's packing a lot of new stuff, and he says that hopefully we'll see online servers now too. Cool, huh?

Open Mugen PSP Open Mugen PSP
Kech over at PS2DEV has just released his port of Open Mugen for the PSP. Right now, it's still pretty rough. But expect it to get better as the Open Mugen project progresses further. Currently OpenMugen runs on Windows,Linux and XBOX, and now the PSP.
Open Mugen is a 2d Beat-em-Up. I've played this game on Linux before and it is a lot of fun
