Still remember Kenney's homebrew puzzler Scogger released on the PlayStation Portable and the DS a couple of months back? Well, the developer (now known as Scognito) thought it would be a good idea to get his feet wet in the Wii homebrew scene by porting it onto the Nintendo console with Scogger 0.2 for Wii.
The game still plays similarly with its handheld counterparts. The basic goal is to get your frog to jump over all the tree trunks using the Gamecube pad or the Wiimote d-pad.
You can only jump forward, to the left, or to the right with no jump distance limit. However, you cannot jump backwards so make sure you have your moves planned out or risk having to restart the entire puzzle.
There are a total of 10 levels (like the DS and PSP versions) and uses the same controls from the previous releases. To install the Scogger on your Wii, please follow these detailed instructions taken from the developer's website:
* The Wii version is ready for use with the homebrew channel. Just put the scoggerwii-0.2 directory in the apps directory of your SD card, otherwise boot it with the Twilight Hack or other boot methods.
* The Gamecube dol can be booted it using SDLoad or other boot methods.
As an added bonus, the "Konami trick" still works if you input it during the title screen. This allows you to skip stages by pressing the (+) or Start button on the appropriate controller.
In any case, we hope you enjoy this latest incarnation of the amusing homebrew title.
