If you think there aren't enough homebrew games starring the fasted hedgehog on two sneakers, then you might be glad to know that developer Phoebius has one in the works already. The initial release of a port for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has been released by the homebrew coder and looks rather promising judging from the initial screenshots of the game.
Phoebius mentions that this game was based on the same engine that Brunni (of OSlib and MasterBoy fame) worked on while making a Sonic homebrew port for the GBA. However, ever since the project was dropped, Phoebius was left to pick up the pieces and put together his own version of the game.
While the developer admits having no prior experience in coding homebrew, we hope that a playable build for the game comes out soon. So far, the game only gives a preview of how the game dynamics work so far and how the game will look once it's released.
