  Space Shark

BlackShark dropped by our forums today to share with us the alpha release for Space Shark, his homebrew game entry for the PxP competition.

The game's controls are as follows:analog stick or D-pad for moving, R to fire, Triangle to turn off the music and Circle to turn it on. However, BlackShark says that "the charge shot does not fire any thing yet, to make the bar rise as if you were doing a charge shot though, hold both L and R."

He's also currently working on the game modes (campaign, escape the asteroids and classic) and on adding a multiplayer feature for future releases. Now, BlackShark is aware that the game isn't that polished yet (precisely because it's an alpha release, doh) but he still wanted to inform the community about the developments of the game. That said, why don't you guys check it out for yourself by downloading the game below, and if you have comments and/or suggestions, head on to our forums (click on the release thread below) and help out BlackShark in improving the game.

Powder release 112 (DS)Powder release 112 (DS)
Powder release 112 (DS) POWDER is a roguelike originaly developed specifically for the Gameboy Advance (GBA). It is not a port of an existing roguelike as the controls of the GBA are very different from the traditional keyboard, and the screen imposes some additional limitations. It is built around replayability and long term ergonomics, not short term learning

LuaChase  Boards neophyte ScottyBoyNow dropped by earlier to say he's just finished working on his very first homebrew game, titled LuaChase v1. This lua-coded game is based on the evilmana code, and follows a very simply rule - don't let the green square touch your blue square. To control your square, just press on the arrow buttons to move
SuperPang DSSuperPang DS
SuperPang DS Classic games rock. And classic games that are ported homebrew-style onto new platforms rock even harder. Now, for a classic game that was "ported" to have an update... That rocks like whoa. Ergon's homebrew SuperPang DS is now on version 0.1b. It's his homebrew that's based on Pang/Pomping World/Buster Bros
GTA PongGTA Pong
GTA Pong  Percival has updated his version of GTA Pong to support 2 players on the same PSP! I could be wrong, but I believe that makes this the first multiplayer homebrew game for those of you with 2.01, 2.50, or 2

SnowKillz From Monkit: Basically it is something like a top-down shooter. It was previously one of my super old childish games on PC My old SnowKillz on PC But I ported it to PSP thinking that it would be fun Anyway.. the Loading is very slow.. have to bear with it. >.< The graphics and sound I would change later.
