We have here another entry for our summer coding competition co-sponsored with Lik-Sang, FoamWars Beta 1 by Birddog. From the looks of the image, you may have an idea what the game is all about. But for the sake of those who hasn't figure it out, FoamWars is actually a non-violent deathmatch game based from the Quake engine.
Non-violent deathmatch, is that possible? Birddog's creation made it a possibility, since instead of using guns, you'll be using foam shooting toys which was inspired by Nerf toys. The object of the game is still the same- to win the match by fragging your opponents the most times. Plus the atmosphere of the game is also a bit lighter, which brighter colours and playful weapons.
So far it features four weapons, foam sword, ball shooter, cup shooter, and an arrow launcher. It has one map (for now). To get to know the game better, don't hesitate the readme file that comes with the download. Good job, Birddog! And we wish you the best of luck.
You should watch out for the compilation of all the competition entries and the opening of our polls to see which is the most popular among readers. Lastly, you could also leave out your opinions, reactions and other what-nots in the comments section.
