Executive Producer for Gun Showdown, Chuck Park, talks about the wild gun slinging adventure that will come to the PSP this Fall. You take on the role of Cotton White, an orphaned gun slinger on a journey of self-discovery with the untamed West as backdrop. Aside from the an epic main storyline, written by Hollywood scriptwriter Randall Jahnson, the guy behind the Mask of Zorro and The Doors, there will be additional five story missions, that players can look forward to.
The PSP's Wi-Fi connection is a great compliment to the game's three Multiplayer modes - Death Match, Golden Cross and Poker. Golden Cross is a take on Capture the Flag, where whoever holds the flag becomes the target in the game. In Poker, you play a classic game of Texas Hold 'em. You can play against five other players in all three modes.
There are also six quickplay games that will come with the game's release. So far we've learned that Suppress the Outlaws, Bear Hunt, Fire Fight, and Hollister's Dynamite Run will be included. And what is the Wild West without weapons? Additional weapons such as landmines, throwing knives and variations of the pistol will also be showcased.
