Nintendo Wii homebrew developer andii has announced the release of a new build for the open-source modchip OpenWii, bumping the project up to version 2.4. This is still for Atmega8 (Chiip).
Anyway, andii has highlighted the many changes that were implemented to this specific build. They are as follows:
* Audiofix
* DualLayer Support
* New LED blink codes (L = long blink, S = short blink)
Power Up: L S
Drive Patched: L S S (e.g. each disc change)
Set Region / Speed / Audifix: L S S S (using setup disc)
Upgrade Firmware: LED flashes (update is finished when led is off)
* New setup disc behavior
o The chip update is now starting automatically if no GameCube controller is connected.
o If you want to change your configuration, ensure to connect a GameCube controller in port 1 before starting the Setup Disc!
