Coder Auraomega dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and announced the release of a quick fix for Project4. This program is a suitable complete replacement for the XMB of your Sony PlayStation Portable.
According to the homebrew developer, the fix does not tackle any internal bugs for it uses the same main code. However, it does deal with the installation issues some PSP owners had when trying out Project4. Auraomega wrote:
Thanks to Xsjado testing the Universal Installer, I have found and fixed an installation error which came about when trying to write the Project4 main code, this fix should solve any problems caused at this stage of installation.
I'd like to mention that this does not fix the installation at patching the firmware, or the flash re-writes, as there is currently no fix possible for user error and human laziness.
This download comes with the rest of the Project4 installation modules, and the new fixed main installer (for the versioncheck bug).
Aside from that, the coder also cautions that users should have sufficient backups in the event of a brick. For those who are quite not ready yet to install Project4, the forum link below might give you a lot of help.
