With Dark_AleX's latest 2.71 SE-C release, we're bound to have an influx of new/changed/modified/improved homebrew games/apps/emus. And when it comes to updating their homebrew, Art is pretty much a solid and dedicated programmer. He's now released X-Flash v16g which now allows the program to start under SE-C.
The core of the program itself hasn't been changes. However, this version now has dual firmware support. He's stated that his program runs on 1.50 and 2.71 SE, and behaves accordingly when the PSP FW version is autodetected at start-up.
Here's the full changelog for X-Flash V16g:
* Added support for firmware version 2.71 SE-C.
* Fixed parental control feature, as the parental control level was previously ignored by X-Flash when running under 2.71 SE.
* Startup checking is significantly faster with all supported firmware versions, so the user enters the menu faster from program launch.

GripShift savegame exploit POC GripShift savegame exploit POC
Aah, yes, new exploit, old game. It's so cool to actually see this beauty working - and on a PSP-3000 no less! The PSP scene was buzzing the other day when MaTiAz found an exploit (read: buffer overflow!) in the three year old game, GripShift.
MaTiAz says that they've yet to find any further use for this, but it's still a new exploit

Yossi Starz has released his LUA Ys-OS version 1.0. Ys-OS is the first multi-processing shell written in Lua scripting language. Basically, that means you can run multiple programs at the same time. I have to say, this one is really cool to see. I opened an explorer window, the star field demo and a png image in the mean time

Why?

Why not? Porting Linux to a Console may be useless (even more so ucLinux which
is really limited), but its fun!
