  Hitman BM save Editor

What makes a hitman is his weapons. And in a game like Hitman: Blood and Money, where players take on the role of Agent 47, as he travels to America to uncover the mystery behind the systematic elimination of fellow assassins in his contract killing firm, The ICA, while trying to save his own hide, you're going to need all the arsenal that you can get your hands on.

Brienj probably has the same thought in mind when he created Hitman BM Save Editor. This utility allows you to edit the weapons in your gamesave files. It supports every difficulty level and allows you to always, always carry an item plus as many of a certain type of weapon that you want.

You must have .NET 2.0 runtime installed to be able to run this program.

Here is the FAQ from my program:

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: I tried to load my save and it gave me an error that it couldn't read the file, what is wrong?

A: There are two common reasons why this could happen:
1) The first reason is because you have the save file loaded in another application. To remedy this problem, unload your save file from the other application.
2) The second reason is because the file is not an Xbox save file or it is an Xbox save file, but it is invalid, which can be caused by editing the file before using this program or it has been corrupted. To remedy this problem, only use valid Xbox save files in this program.

Q: Why can I only have 64 weapons maximum in each difficulty level?

A: I don't know, you should ask IOI, the developers of Hitman Blood Money, they are the one that made the limitation.

Q: Why can't I add or delete weapons from the Basic Weapons group?

A: Well, there is no way to add any more weapons, it is hard coded in the game for 17 of them. I guess you could delete some of them, but really, I see no point in doing that.

Q: Will you add it to your next version?

A: No.

Q: Hey, there are only 59/60 weapons, not 64 like your program is telling me, can't your program count correctly?

A: Actually, the program is correct, you are forgetting the 4 items/weapons that the program does not deal with: the FibreWire, Coin, Sedative Syringe, and Poison Syringe. These weapons were not added to the program, because there are no upgrades for them. Also, if you have the Dual Silver Ballers Upgrade it takes up an additional slot that you don't see.

Q: What does the Always Carried Option mean?

A: If enabled, it allows the weapon to always remain in your inventory, even if you don't select it on the briefing screen before a mission. It also allows you to carry as many weapons as you want of that particular weapontype on a mission. For example, if you select Custom 1911 and enable Always Carried, the Custom 1911 will always be in your inventory, and you can carry as many handguns as you want on a mission.

Q: I enabled the Always Carried Option and it isn't working?

A: In order for it to work, you must also have the weapon listed twice in your inventory. So, to always carry your SP12 Shotgun, you just add one to the bottom list, because it is already in the top list. However, for any weapon not within your Basic Weapons, you must add two instances of that weapon in the bottom list. I also recommend that if you have the Dual Silver Ballers upgrade, do NOT choose a Silver Baller in the bottom list, or you do so at your own risk.

Q: I enabled the Always Carried Option and now when I play Requiem, 47 has the weapon glued to his hands, and he can not get rid of it, what is going on?

A: This is a bug that will sometimes happen in Requiem if you enable the ability to always carry a weapon. If you want to play this level, I suggest making a seperate profile just to play this level and do NOT enable the option in that save.

Q: What is Requiem?

A: I don't want to spoil it for you, so if you don't know, forget that I ever mentioned it.

Q: Such and such weapon doesn't work on such and such mission even though I select it for the mission, why isn't it working?

A: Unfortunately, you can not use every weapon on every mission, and in fact there are certain weapons, like the Nail File, that only work in the Hideout. By the way, if you want access to a weapon in the Hideout and there isn't a spot for it on the racks, such as the Nail File, just enable the Always Carry option as covered earlier.

Q: When I used the Fire Extinguisher on a mission, the game crashed when I tried to hit somebody with it, what's wrong with your program?

A: Once again, there is nothing wrong with my program, that is how the game was made. Some weapons will work in certain missions, but for whatever reason, the developers did not associate animations with the weapon in that mission, so when you use the weapon, the game crashes. Anytime you use my program to make the melee weapons available to use on a mission, you do so at your own risk. Most of them will work fine, most of the time, but there is no guarantee that they will always work as you want.

Q: If there are so many bugs using the melee weapons, why do you let us choose them?

A: Nobody is forcing you to try them. Once you learn what weapons work in what missions, you will be fine.

Q: The Hammer is in my list, but it won't let me choose it on the selection screen?

A: I don't know why, but for some reason, in order to use the Hammer on a mission, you must set the Always Carried option, and have it listed twice, as mentioned before. This makes the Hammer always in your inventory, but it is the only way to use this particular weapon on a mission. This is not a fault of my program, it is an inherit problem with the game.

Q: Will you be making an update for this program anytime soon?

A: This all depends on how much free time I have to work on this project. Do not expect anything, but you can check back on my webpage for updates in the future. I will always give the version info on the download link, so you know if it has been updated.

Q: I didn't download your program from your webpage, what is the address so I can check for updates?

A: Somebody has hotlinked to my program or is hosting it without permission. Please let that person know that I only want a link to my webpage to be made available to download the program.

Q: Ok, but what is the web address for your webpage?

A: Cick on Help/About, and it contains a hyperlink to my webpage.

Q: You didn't answer my question in the FAQs, what's wrong with you?

A: Well unfortunately, I can not add to the FAQ without feedback, so send me an email to brienj@insightbb.com and ask the question.

Q: Your program is awesome/sucks and I want to tell you about it, how can I reach you?

A: You can send me an email to brienj@insightbb.com

Q: I found a bug in your program, how can I tell you about it?

A: As mentioned before, just send me an email.
