PSP homebrew developer Jamie Fuller just dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce the release of his latest project, Mayhem in Monsterland. This homebrew game is a sidescrolling platformer that takes players through the world of Monsterland, clearing enemy monsters along the way. Depending on the stage's mood (happy or sad), players will have to collect enough bombs or stars to open up the exit so they can move on to the next stage.
That's the summary of the game mechanics - more details should be available in the accompanying file readme. On a more personal note, playing through the game got me remembering classic platformers like Mario and Sonic, although Mayhem in Monsterland definitely carries its own charm. Try it out for yourself, via the download link available here. Also try to visit Jamie Fuller's release thread at the QJ.Net Forums while you're visiting, or his other previous projects.
