  TIFF (TicHack's file)

User TicHack from PS3-Hacks Forums just discovered a possible TIFF exploit for the PlayStation 3 running on U.S. Firmware 1.93. According to the user, he copied some of the TIFF images in the console's HDD after they appeared on the memory card. As you all know, the PS3 doesn't deal with these kind of things so he TicHack received the "Corrupted Data" method.

What he did next was took the HDD off and viewed the TIFF image on the Photo Menu. After taking away the hard drive, the PlayStation 3 unit in question continued running on FW 1.93. TicHack checked some the features on the XMB and they are working all fine.

We're not saying that this is already a full blow exploit. TicHack said it best when he metioned that this particular method could be the gateway to a full blown exploit. The download can be found below and after that are the things that you should do with it. A video has also been posted as proof of the method.

* Download and place TIFF file on a USB/flash drive.
* View the TIFF on the PS3 and copy it to HDD, it should show up as CORRUPTED DATA.
* Remove the PS3's HDD at this point and view the TIFF image again.
* You should now be able to go to Game Data Utility - Save Data Utility and I can use the TRIANGLE (e.g Eject Disc,Copy etc) also plug in External Devices and so ON.
