  be2003's Yeti3D PSP port

Homebrew coder be2003 has just announced the recent release of the PSP port of Yeti3D. In case you guys are wondering what this application is, Yeti3D is a 3D engine originally built by Derek Evans for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003.

Be2003 notes is that this version isn't dependent on SDL - it's a pure PSP port. Here's a glimpse of the engine's technical notes (for the sake of the curious devs):

The current viewport is 120x80 pixels, 15bit.
All textures are 64x64 8bit.
Textures are converted to 15bit via a pre-calculated lighting LUT.
Polygons can be any convex shape. Only squares are currently used.
Each vertex is described as X, Y, Z, U, V and brightness.
The renderer uses 24:8 fixed point maths.
Polygons are clipped in 3D space using 45 degree planes. Distance to plane calculations therefore use only additions and subtractions.
Polygon edges are clipped using one divide and 6 multiplies.
4 clipping planes are used. No front plane is required. No back plane is used.
No per-span clipping is used. Fixed point errors are hidden offscreen.

Full technical notes, installation/usage details, and contact addresses are available in the file README - we strongly advise would-be users to check those out before using this application. There's also the matter of the bundle GNU license, which guys here will need to read as well.

PSP Animation Studio Turns out that skaterboy masonman's "f'd up ankle" has finally healed and he's back to working on his code. As to why he wasn't able to fix on his homebrew app while having a busted ankle, who knows? Maybe he was in the hospital and couldn't get to his computer. But moving on, he's released v2 for PSP Animation Studio

Being a frustrated game programmer that I am, it's always nice to have these kinds of applications that allow non-coders to create their own games - and an RPG at that! Based on heaven sent RPGMaker (2000) - which I still have installed on my PC, thanks very much - this homebrew app is making yet another comeback just in time for the holidays
PSPLink 0.9fPSPLink 0.9f
PSPLink 0.9f  TyRaNiD over at ps2dev.org has released a new version of PSPLINK. It's basically a tool which can help homebrew developers immensely. Its purpose it to provide a shell on your PC via SIO, WIFI or USB. If you're wondering what exactly this means, then it most probably isn't for you. Plus, it can access your PSP's internals in realtime

SGE Library r030809 Homebrew developer SamuraiX has released the SGE Library r030809 for the PSP. For those not familiar with it, SGE is a graphic library for the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL). Essentially a low level API, the preset graphics functions found in this release should make coding homebrew easier

Lua Player Mod 4 (FW 1.00 to FW 2.xx)  Homebrew developer cools dropped by the QJ.Net PSP Forums earlier today and unloaded Lua Player Mod 4. It should be remembered that Mod 3 was based on LuaPlayer v0.20. This release, on the other hand, was based on v0.16 which should make it faster. cools also mentioned that Mod 4 was built using the latest sdk and lua 5.1.2
